13 November 2015. Yamanashi maglev test track. The maglev line is currently being constructed between Tokyo and Nagoya with this test track comprising part of the route. It is expected to begin operation in 2027 with an additional Nagoya-Osaka section to be completed by 2045. Departing Osaka at 5:00am it took me four trains and a bus to get here (five hours of travel). I previously watched the train go past from an indoor viewing deck so had some idea how quickly to pan the camera.
