GENERATOR CONTROL PANEL TUTORIAL https://bernini-design.com What is an ATS and AMF panel? When to use them? Both panels restore electricity in your building in case of a power outage. The first difference between AMF and ATS panels is how to connect the load. An AMF panel features contactors with mechanical interlock, and the ATS panel features a motorized switch. Contactors are capable of granular control over your load. Unfortunately, over 100kVA, are expensive. An ATS panel features a motorized transfer switch. This is a cost-effective solution for high-power applications but the functionality is limited. When high power is involved, this is not an issue. When your application is critical and powerful you may use the following configuration: a high-power ATS panel controls the generator while 2 or 3 small AMF panels protect your critical loads. The panels communicate with each other via isolated RS485. Bernini Design offers long-term reliability because we put the controller on the door's external side, which is the most powerful shield. Secondly, we use a universal interface board. You can connect any kind of generator and engine.
