My buyers thought this bookcase looked a little different. Upon further investigation we discovered it was hiding an entire room, which was actually a converted garage. Pretty clever! Was a new one for me that day. Converted garages happen quite often in real estate sales in San Diego, California. Sometimes they are permitted, most of the time they are not, but generally as long as they are constructed in a quality manner they don't raise issues during a sale. Not always, just usually! If it does cause issues, that means it's time to negotiate and get a better deal.
